Description
What You Will Do
In tight collaboration with PraxisPro’s Commercial team, you'll own the full sales cycle from prospecting through close as well as expansions. This means identifying stakeholders, running multi-threaded sales campaigns, closing six and seven figure deals. You're not just selling software; you're selling commercial organization transformation across L&D, Commercial Excellence, Sales & Marketing executive leaders at some of the biggest pharma and biotech companies in the world.
You'll be equal parts hunter and strategist. You need to be comfortable picking up the phone for cold outreach and mapping complex organizational structures to find champions. You'll run demos, manage pilots, negotiate contracts, and do whatever it takes to get deals across the line.
This is a high-accountability role in a lean matrixed organization where you will have support across the PraxisPro team, including founders, to drive results. We're looking for someone who is resilient and adaptable to change since we are moving quickly and getting strong positive feedback from customers and their leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
Drive revenue: your primary objective is the growth and adoption of PraxisPro within life sciences Commercial organizations
Prospect relentlessly: cold calls, cold emails, LinkedIn outreach, whatever it takes to fill the pipeline and get to a demo
Run the full sales cycle: spear, qualify, demo, support pre-sales efforts, close deals, and collaborate on driving upsells
Navigate siloed and complex orgs: build relationships with key stakeholders, and find your champions from managers to senior leaders
Owns the forecast: own your pipeline, know your numbers, and hit your commits, and the rest of the team is expected to do the same.
Travel when it matters: bias towards in-person interactions, meet customers face-to-face, attend industry & local events.
What You Bring
Required Experience
Enterprise Sales Excellence: 8-10+ years closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals with 6-12 month sales cycles in enterprise B2B SaaS. You know how to navigate procurement, work across multiple buying committees, and shepherd deals through extended approval processes.
Six and Seven Figure Deal Experience: closed $250K+ deals and have successfully managed land-and-expand strategies that grew customer relationships to $1M+
Full Cycle Ownership: you own prospecting, qualifying, demoing, running pilots, negotiating contracts, closing, and driving upsells. You don't hand off deals, you shepherd them to completion.
CRM Excellence & Sales Discipline: you maintain a clean CRM, own your forecast, manage your pipeline with precision, and understand that trustworthy data is non-negotiable. Strong forecasting and pipeline hygiene are second nature.
Communication & Executive Presence: you're a strong and confident listener & communicator on calls, in emails, and in the room with C-suite executives. You can articulate complex value propositions clearly and compellingly.
Modern Sales Stack Competency: you can navigate HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and other contemporary sales tools effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Life Sciences Industry Experience: familiarity with pharma, biotech, or highly regulated life sciences environments, including understanding of Commercial, L&D, and Medical Education teams
Experience Selling to Regulated Industries: background selling GxP, compliance training, or other mission-critical solutions in regulated sectors
Early-Stage Hiring Experience: you've been an early commercial hire and know what it takes to build sales motion from zero
Existing Network in Life Sciences: relationships within L&D, Commercial Excellence, or Marketing functions accelerate time-to-productivity
AI/Learning & Development Acumen: understanding of AI capabilities, learning platforms, or training solutions is valuable but not required
Work Environment
Location: Remote in New York Metro, Boston Metro, San Diego Metro, or San Francisco Metro
Travel: May be upwards of 50% as needed
Team Size: Small, lean team; expect direct collaboration with founders and all functions.
Pace: Fast-moving, customer-driven; we work and iterate quickly
Culture: Results-oriented, no ego, collaborative problem-solving
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000 OTE; uncapped commission
Equity: Competitive startup equity package
Health insurance, 401(k), and other standard benefits
Flexible PTO
Note on salary: Range reflects startup stage and your specific background. We pay competitively for talent and experience but are transparent that seed-stage resources are finite. If you have deep domain expertise in life sciences, we're willing to be at the higher end of the range.
About Our Customers
Life sciences companies (pharma, biotech, medical device) invest heavily in training their sales and account teams, but existing solutions are outdated, expensive, and don't leverage AI. We're building the modern training platform they need — faster onboarding, better retention, measurable impact on selling effectiveness.
